Platinum is quite rare, much more so than gold, and somewhat overlooked currently. A more difficult metal to work with than gold or silver, yet the finished pieces are so beautiful and durable. Even though it is fussy, and requires very high temperatures to weld, I love working with platinum, and invite you to further explore this challenging metal.

All my platinum jewelry I make with 100 % ethically sourced platinum (Platinum 900/ Iridium). These medium-sized, classically styled hoops will go with everything, and are an excellent gift choice for when you seek something precious and unusual. Please keep in mind the larger version is proportionally a lighter slimmer looking hoop overall than the 34mm hoop, therefore I am offering a heftier version, the XL option.

The ear wires have a tiny hook that locks into a slot for a sleek and very secure closure. The ear wire is easily opened to the side, then springs back for easy on and off.

Platinum does not tarnish, and is hypoallergenic. Prettier than white gold and with a more substantial feel than sterling silver, precious platinum is a bright, strong and elegant choice for jewelry.

Please note: The 38mm XL option refers to the same design but scaled up to be more substantial, using thicker stock. The ear wires are a bit heavier and thicker as is the body of the hoop.
